Feed Chute Size – If you are going to be using juicing recipes, you are going to want to get a juicer that allows you to put decent size fruits and vegetables in the chute. One of the complaints I hear most is “It takes too long to cut up all the fruits and vegetables so they fit in the chute”. So get a juicer that allows you to save time by not cutting everything up. If you are spending too much time cutting fruits and vegetables you are going to get aggravated and not juice. That’s not what we want!
Ease of cleaning – The other complaint I hear most is “it takes too long to clean up”. So we need to have a juicer that is easy to clean. Personally I like the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer because it is very simple to clean. You can even put it in the dishwasher. So again if you are spending too much time cleaning, your motivation to be juicing is going to drop.
Amount of Pulp – This is a preference. Some juicers are going to allow more pulp to get through than others. Personally I don’t like any pulp in my juice so I have to have a juicer that doesn’t allow any. Some people love the pulp, so if you are one of those people, this won’t be a problem.
Noise – The noise level can be a big problem with some juicers. My brother has a juicer that makes great juice and is easy to clean, however, it sounds like a car crash as soon as you put an apple through it. If loud noise irritates you, make sure to get a juicer that is quite.
Price – Price for juicers is as varied as the food that people put into them. You can spend $99 for a juicer or you can spend over $2000. Everyone I know has spent $100 -$300. You should probably except to pay about that.
These are very basic tips for people interested in juicing, but they are very important tips so I wanted to post them. Remember to make juicing easy for you so you will be more likely to do it. I hope to hear from you on your success with juicing and feel free to post any juicing recipes!
Thank you
